Getting started
When does BrainBerry launch?
A-Level lands December 2026 on the web, with GCSE and the iOS and Android apps to follow. Drop your email on the Notify page and we'll ping you the moment it goes live.
Is BrainBerry free?
Yes — you can study, play every game, build your own banks and keep your streak going for free, forever. Free users see occasional adverts. The AI features come with a free 14-day trial when you sign up, and a Premium plan removes the ads and keeps the AI unlocked. Plan details land at launch.
Which year groups is it for?
BrainBerry is built for GCSE and A-Level students (Years 10 to 13) in the UK.
Which subjects do you cover?
At launch: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History and Geography, with Maths building out. More subjects are on the roadmap.
AI & content
Will the AI just give me the answer?
Cards carry an explanation on the back, so you see why an answer is right rather than just what it is.
How accurate is the AI?
Every AI-generated bank goes through a moderation pass — language screening plus an AI review — before it can be shared. You can report any card, and reported cards get fixed fast.
Which exam boards are supported?
AQA and Edexcel at launch. OCR, WJEC and CIE are on the roadmap.
Can I edit AI-generated cards?
Yes — cards in your own banks are yours to edit, and you can delete a bank and generate a fresh one if it isn't landing.
Schools & teachers
Is there a teacher version?
Class Mode is free — any teacher can host a live round from their own account, and the class joins on their own devices. Questions come from the A-Level decks or any public Q-Bank. A teacher dashboard with class insights is on the roadmap.
How do we get our school onboard?
Drop your school name on the Notify page (or email us) and we'll be in touch. School accounts and class codes are on the roadmap — Class Mode works today from any teacher account.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes — UK data storage, encrypted in transit, never used for model training, and built to UK schools' data standards.
Account & privacy
How do I sign in?
Google, or email and a password — we send a short code to confirm it is you. One account works on every device.
Where is my data stored?
On UK servers, encrypted in transit. Never used to train AI models.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete. Your account and progress are wiped within 30 days. You can also export everything as JSON before deleting. You will have 30 days to change your mind and opt back in again.
